Derwentwater
Autumn Term 2023 - Designing and Making Waistcoats.
Derwentwater class have been busy designing and making Waistcoats as part of their Design Technology work this term.
First, they had to decide what colour their waistcoat would be and what extra design, if any, they would like on them. These were shown in an initial design.
Then they looked at waistcoats that had already been made and looked at the different sections and how they were stitched together.
The children worked in partners to measure themselves, ensuring their final creations would fit. They drew out a pattern and cut it out. They then had to hand stitch their pattern to produce the final waistcoat.
