Halloween
Pumpkin tuff tray!
In preparation for our class pumpkin being carved, the children in Buttermere helped to scoop out all of the pumpkins ‘insides’. They all had a go at pulling out the seeds using their hands- although some of the children did not enjoy this part as it made their hands feel really slimy! They then used spoons to scoop out the sides and of the pumpkin.
Mummy sausages for snack
For Buttermere’s Halloween party snack, the children helped to prepare their own ‘Mummy sausage’. They enjoyed having a go at wrapping the pasty around the sausages (which was quite fiddly) and then seeing the sausages once they had been cooked in the oven.
As it was our Halloween party snack- we made it extra special by also having: banana ghosts, pumpkin oranges and monster crisps!
