Journaling
Geoff came into school from another primary school in Wigton. We linked with his school as part of the Place Project lead by CDEC. At his school they have established journaling sessions which is a concept lead by John Muir Laws which links to our science curriculum. Geoff came into school to show us what journaling entails and how it can help children find a connection to their place.
The children really enjoyed the session and it gave them the opportunity to notice and engage with the world around them. We then brought nature back indoors to create observational drawings using watercolours.
