Small School's Maths Morning at Beacon Hill
Derwentwater really enjoyed their morning at Beacon Hill, they all got to play loads of different maths games and practice a lot of their maths skills with pupils from other small schools in the area. Some of the Beacon Hill pupils joined in with us and also ran their own activity for us to do, we got to see how fun maths can be!
3 in a row
Derwentwater played ‘3 in a row’ outside with chalks on the playground today, making the most of then autumn sunshine. They used their knowledge of number and place value to place their numbers on the number line to try and get (or stop their opponents from) getting 3 in a row. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our maths lessons outside. We worked on. 0-1,000,000 number line.
