Governors

Our Governing Body is made up of a group of individuals who have a passion for the school to be a success. Each Governor brings their own strengths to the group, giving a breadth of experience that contributes to a great working team. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and offer a wide range of experience for our school. They share responsibility for everything that  happens to, and within, Oughterside Foundation School. There are 4 full Governing Body meetings per year along with 6 committee meetings.The term of office is 4 years from their start date.

The Instrument of Government is as follows:

• 2 Parent Governors- appointed by parents
• 1 LA Governor - appointed by the LA
• 1 Staff Governor- appointed by teachers 
• 1 Headteacher- appointed by GB 
• 3 co-opted Governors- appointed by GB 
• 2 Partnership Governors - appointed by GB

Governing Body Diversity 

As a governing body, we have participated in a Governing Body Diversity questionnaire in November, 2023.
