Dream Big!
This morning our pupils from KS2 have enjoyed a ‘Dream Big’ session lead by the Center for leadership performance.
We found out about lots of products that are made within Cumbria such as crisp packets, drink cans, and even biscuits!
During the session we met three adults who work within the local area:
- Clayton - A project manager at Selafield who works with robotics.
- Georgina - A mechanical design engineer at Futamura who designs new machine parts on the computer
- Hannah - Works supporting children and young people in Cumbria
It was interesting to hear that some of our visitors had changed their minds a few times before finding their dream job! They had also taken different routes such as apprenticeships and university.
A big message that came across was that you should aim for a job that links to your interests.
The children left the session thinking about how school can help them to achieve their dream job and were inspired to DREAM BIG!
